We are the first university to receive approval by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to set up a campus in India under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. We are the only global top 100 university with a campus in India and a UK Russell Group – research intensive - university. We are opening our doors to students in August 2025.

Supporting internationalisation in India

University of Southampton Delhi is the only Foreign Higher Educational Institution with a full licence approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) to run a campus in India. We are proud to be involved in a new chapter of internationalisation, as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, helping to underpin momentum for “internationalisation at home” by promoting India as a global study destination.
