Om arbeidsgiveren

A fascination for science, design and engineering is the common denominator driving the 16,500 bachelor and master students and the 4,700 employees of Delft University of Technology (http://tudelft.nl). TU Delft is not only the oldest, but also the largest university of technology of the Netherlands: a university constantly seeking outstanding talent to keep the research and education of this unique institution top-ranked.

The Kavli Institute of Nanoscience Delft (http://kavli.tudelft.nl) is an intellectually inspiring environment of world-leading scientists that perform pioneering research to understand the nanoworld – from quantum physics to nanobiology. The focus is on developing novel concepts and achieving game-changing breakthroughs. The Kavli Institute consists of two departments within the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Delft University of Technology: the Department of Quantum Nanoscience, and the Department of Bionanoscience.

The Department of Quantum Nanoscience (QN, http://qn.tudelft.nl) comprises an internationally oriented research and teaching environment focused on studies of physical processes at the nanoscale using a large variety of electronic and optical device structures. The research is supported by state-of-the-art facilities such as the cleanroom facility Kavli Nanolab Delft, which is run by the staff of the QN department. The department is also affiliated with the Casimir Research School (http://casimir.researchschool.nl), providing access to top-level graduate education.

Collaborations

TU Delft finds cross-border cooperation very important to get the best results possible.
