About the FSTM

The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.

Your role

The successful candidate will join the Applied Crypto Group (ACG), led by Prof. Jean-Sébastien Coron and be affiliated to the Department of Computer Science (DCS) of the University of Luxembourg.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Prepare a Ph.D. thesis in cryptography, by publishing research papers and giving talks at international conferences
  • Contribute to the teaching activities of the group

Your profile

  • Master's degree in computer science or mathematics
  • Good programming skills
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English

Possible topics of interests are fully homomorphic encryption, public-key cryptanalysis, and side-channel attacks and countermeasures.
