Your Responsibilities
- Research and publication activities in applied mathematics
- Writing a doctoral thesis with a focus on mathematics for industrial applications or interdisciplinary applications
- Participation in the department’s interdisciplinary projects and industry projects within the framework of the "Living Lab Mathematics in Applications"
- Support in the further development of the department’s own software packages
- Teaching courses and assisting with teaching and examination tasks at the department
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks
Your Profile
- Completed masters degree in mathematics or a related field
- Excellent English skills, both spoken and written
- Competence in developing mathematical application software, e.g., with C++/Python
- Independent working style and initiative
- Communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on interdisciplinary and industrial contexts
- Broad interest in the application of mathematics, especially in the research areas represented at the department

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.865,40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
