Your Responsibilities
- Independent and cooperative research in the field of environmental systems sciences
- Development of a research profile in the field of environmental systems science, sustainability or innovation research
- Acquisition of third-party funds
- Teaching courses as well as supervision of students in the Bachelor's and Master's programs
- Participation in university self-administration and in the organizational tasks of the institute
Your Profile
- Dissertation in environmental systems science, computer science, mathematics or physics, or a related subject
- Very good knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Sustainability and cooperation in complex systems, e.g. quantitative analyses of socio-ecological systems or energy systems
- Innovation research at the interface between bionics, patent analyses and creativity techniques
- Very good programming skills (required)
- Experience with R or Python (desirable)
- Experience in one of the following topics: Machine Learning, Data Science or Modeling (desirable)
- Very good knowledge of English (required)
- Very good knowledge of German (desirable)
- Interest in complex systems
- Experience in the conception and implementation of research projects
- Scientific publication activity
- Teaching experience
- Ability to conduct independent research work, strong teamwork and organizational skills
- High level of commitment and motivation for scientific work
- Skills in working in international and interdisciplinary teams
- The position offers the possibility of a habilitation.

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 69.060,60 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
