Your Responsibilities

• Completing the development agreement with objectives in research, teaching and administration
• Independent research and publication activities
• Support of the existing groups at the institute, e.g. by implementing mathematical algorithms, research data management, visualization and data preparation ("Data Steward")
• Support in the development of software packages and the integration of third-party software
• University-internal networking with similar positions at the university (data scientists, data stewards)
• Independent teaching of courses as well as cooperation in teaching and examination tasks of the institute
• Cooperation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures

Your Profile

• Completed doctorate/PhD in the field of mathematics or a related field
• Very good command of written and spoken English
• Willingness to learn German within two years
• Competencies in software engineering and data management
• Independent working style and high level of initiative
• Communication and teamwork skills

We offer an annual gross salary of € 69,060.59 for a fulltime position.
