Job description:

Energy storage systems have garnered considerable interest and are employed in numerous applications, including electric vehicles and the integration of renewable energy sources. In light of the circular economy and the principles of responsible consumption and production, utilizing biomass waste as a precursor for materials in energy storage technologies presents a cost-effective and sustainable solution. 

We are looking for motivated candidates to join our research focused on developing carbon-based electrode materials derived from biomass for electrochemical energy storage systems.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive expertise in various methods for materials synthesis.
  • Proficient in electrochemical characterization techniques.
  • Experienced in utilizing advanced analytical tools, including X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), BET surface analysis, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS).
  • A strong publication record demonstrating expertise in electrochemical energy storage technologies.
  • Actively engaged in innovative, high-quality international research.
  • Responsible for preparing manuscripts for publication in reputable, indexed journals, proposing invention patents, and sharing findings at national and international conferences, workshops, and meetings.
  • Capable of effectively communicating the development, progress, and results of research tasks to the project team in order to identify future activity needs.
  • Actively involved in drafting research project proposals and seeking funding opportunities.
  • Participate in supervising Ph.D. and master’s students, providing guidance throughout their research projects.
  • Oversee the management of research projects.
