YOUR TASKS 

Research & Development

  • Develop and optimize laboratory procedures
  • Scale up of inorganic and organic synthetic methods to GMP-readiness
  • Support the development of new organic coatings
  • Analyse and report experimental results

Manufacturing

  • Execute manufacturing processes
  • Optimize production workflows
  • Support process development activities
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges

Analytical development

  • Perform quality control testing (TEM, NMR, DLS, MS, ...)
  • Perform stability studies of different formulation approaches
  • Execute analytical assays
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation
  • Prepare and review batch records

Quality

  • Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare GMP-ready documentation
  • Manage laboratory materials and inventories

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Master or PhD degree in Chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent by experience
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and orally
  • Experience in laboratory-based research
  • Experience in synthetic development of inorganic nanocrystals
  • Accurate, organized and detail-oriented
  • Hands-on attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Bioengineering (Chemistry) or Chemical Engineering is an asset
  • Experience in synthetic organic chemistry is an asset
  • Professional proficiency in Dutch is an asset

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU 

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period from 01/10/2026 until 31/09/2027
  •  Your contract will start on 1/10/2026 at the earliest.
  • Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate).  Click here for more information about our salary scales.
