RESEARCHER PROFILE: Postdoc / R2: PhD holders
RESEARCH FIELD(S)1: Physics, Chemistry

JOB /OFFER DESCRIPTION
As part of the ANR CoMuCat project, the result of the collaboration between iSm2 and IM2NP of Aix Marseille University, we are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for a period of 12 months on the campus of St Jerome in Marseille.

The project aims to develop compartmentalized enantioselective catalytic systems for the preparation of highly enantioenriched molecules using membranes with selective permeability. A first system was developed making it possible to obtain each enantiomer of a molecule physically separated in a compartment starting from a racemic substrate.  This substrate can pass fairly freely from one compartment to another. Each enantiomer of this substrate is selectively transformed by a chiral catalyst within a compartment forming each enantiomer of a product in a distinct compartment. However, this product cannot cross the membrane, thus sequestering each enantiomer in a separate compartment. This compartmentalized parallel kinetic resolution process allows ideally complete conversion unlike kinetic resolution.
