Introduction: Join our team at Wetsus and be a part of two groundbreaking Horizon Europe projects focusing on Soil management and health. We are seeking a dedicated Scientific Project Manager with expertise in Soil Sciences to drive these initiatives forward.

Project Overview:

  • One project involves the development of 15 Subsoil-Living Labs to assess the impact of various land uses on subsoil, including a study led by Wetsus on the effect of organic amendments on subsoil and crop production.
  • The other project aims to establish four user-centered Living Labs to improve and monitor soil structure, soil life, and crop-growing conditions on mineral agricultural soils, with Wetsus focusing on soil health monitoring and innovative soil management practices.

Profile: As the Scientific Project Manager, you will be a proactive and self-leading researcher with a passion for international collaborative projects. Your role will involve representing Wetsus within the project consortia, coordinating research efforts, and facilitating the dissemination of results. Key qualifications include:

  • A PhD in Soil Sciences or related discipline.
  • Expertise in soil microbiology and organic matter.
  • Experience with field and/or pot experiments.
  • Strong coordination skills and the ability to foster cooperative research efforts.
  • Proficiency in technical and financial reporting for research projects.
  • Excellent team-working, organizational, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration within Wetsus and with European project consortia.
