Are you contemplating a move to Germany? Here is a breakdown of the most common German academic jobs and their salaries.
Our research group at the Center for Plant Molecular Biology (ZMBP), University of Tübingen, Germany, is looking for a highly motivated and talented PhD student. The appropriate candidate should have a background in cell and molecular biology and/or biochemistry.
The lab aims at elucidating the function of 14-3-3 proteins in plants. 14-3-3 dimers are known to interact with diverse phosphorylated target proteins throughout eukaryotes. Studies with a focus on individual target proteins have unequivocally demonstrated
14-3-3s to be the crucial factors modifying the client’s activity state upon phosphorylation. We currently tackle the analysis of selected 14-3-3 client proteins involved in crucial signaling or cellular processes. In each case the challenge is to analyze the physiological significance as well as the functional consequence of 14-3-3 association in vivo.
Who should apply? People that show enthusiasm for science, that take initiative and are constructive team players. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled and should include CV, research experience and contact details of two references.
The University of Tübingen is committed to increase the proportion of women in Science and qualified women are particularly encouraged to apply. Equally qualified applicants with disabilities will be given preference.
