Cellular Networks and Systems Biology | CECAD

The new collaborative research center (CRC) 1678 on the fidelity of RNA and protein biosynthesis is establishing a research data management and analysis unit. This unit will use cutting-edge machine learning and data integration approaches to turn the data of the CRC into biological insight. Up to three new positions can be filled.

YOUR TASKS

  • Develop and implement a research data management concept for the CRC.
  • Develop advanced project-specific data integration approaches.
  • Develop and implement data analytics pipelines for routine data analysis.
  • Support other researchers of the CRC in their data analytics tasks, including training.
  • Specific focus areas are: professional code development/software engineering, analysis of proteomics and transcriptomics data, multi-omics data integration.

YOUR PROFILE

  • A doctoral degree or equivalent degree in the natural sciences, e.g. bioinformatics, computational biology or computer science
  • Experience with the analysis of biological high-throughput data and/or software development
  • Experience with research data management
  • An interest in the research questions of the CRC

The position is available from 01 October 2024 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). The contract is to be filled for a fixed term until 31 December 2026. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
