The Institute for Astrophysics at the University of Cologne builds and operates state-of-the-art instrumentation in submm/THz astronomy. As part of the CRC 956 “Conditions and Impact of Star Formation”, the detector/microstructure lab engages in instrumentation for the CCAT-prime telescope, in particular towards a mid-resolution spectroscopic camera.

The position is available immediately on a part-time basis (50% - 75%). It is initially limited to 31.12.2022. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the Ger-man public sector.
