One to three permanent 100 % positions as Professor/Associate Professor in Marketing are available at the School of Business and Law, University of Agder, Norway. The positions are located at the Department of Management at Campus Kristiansand. The department is responsible for teaching courses at both campus Kristiansand and campus Grimstad. The starting date is negotiable with the Faculty.
The School of Business and Law, which is AACSB accredited, has approximately 2000 students and 100 faculty members and offers studies in business administration, HR, marketing, tourism management, law and innovation, at the bachelor, master and ph.d level with many applicants for these study programs. There are also a number of courses on post-graduate and continuing education in addition to an experience-based MBA (Executive Master in Business Administration). Emphasis is placed on international, innovative and responsible perspectives in all programs, and in recent years there has also been considerable recruitment of employees internationally.

The criteria of employment are pursuant to the Regulations concerning appointment and promotion to teaching and research posts.
The working language at the University of Agder is Norwegian. The University of Agder offers Norwegian language courses to international employees with little or no knowledge of Norwegian and facilitates participation in such courses. Permanently employed staff are expected to have learnt Norwegian within a period of two years, and this is to be documented by passing the Bergenstest.
Applicants must be able to document relevant practical teaching competence based on education or teaching and supervision. Applicants who are unable to document such basic competence at the time of their appointment will be required to obtain it within a period of two years, possibly by completing UiA’s basis course in university education.

The position is remunerated according to the State Salary Scale, salary plan 17.510 code 1013 and code 1532 Professor NOK 619 – 922 300 gross salary per year or code 1011 Associate Professor, NOK 544 400 – 658 300 gross salary per year. Higher salary grades may be considered for particularly well-qualified applicants. A compulsory pension contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund is deducted from the pay according to current statutory provisions.
