The Horizon 2020 MSCA joint doctoral project TubInTrain (“Tuning Tubulin Dynamics and Interactions to Face Neurotoxicity: a Multidisciplinary Approach for Training and Research”), is run by a Consortium of Universities in cooperation with Industries, with the aim to offer an innovative PhD level training in Chemistry and Biology of Neurodegeneration to 13 Early Stage Researchers (ESR). ESRs will be enrolled for their PhD in academic year 2019/2020, starting their activity not later than 1 March 2020. The course will conclude in academic year 2021/2022.

The TubInTrain PhD programme aims to define a new joint PhD educational model in Chemistry and Biology of Neurodegeneration. An active contribution of Industry in training activities is a relevant feature of the programme. The scientific approach proposed by the TubInTrain consortium is strongly multidisciplinary and will involve a number of different state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies.
Basing on the TubInTrain research programme, applicants are requested to choose among 13 different and multidisciplinary projects strongly related to each other. Different state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies relevant to the project are: Computational chemistry; Chemoinformatics; Chemical synthesis; Bioanalytics and biophysics; Biochemistry; Structural Biology; In vitro biological evaluation; Molecular imaging; Metabolomics.
