Fondazione Bracco was founded as an institution rooted in the heritage of values accrued in 90 years of history of the Bracco Group, and it has, among its purposes, the goal of contributing to the improvement of the quality of life with innovative approaches and solutions.

University foundation establish in accordance with Article
59.3 of Italian Law no. 388 of 23 December 2000 and with the regulation approved with Italian Presidential Decree no. 254 of 24 May 2001, no. 254 (legal person governed by private law having as its reference entity the Milan Politecnico).
For the selection of an Italian researcher, highly qualified and currently abroad, for a five-year engagement by the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano in accordance with Article
2222 et seq. of the Italian Civil Code; the engagement shall be in the form of a contract for continuative and coordinated services.
DEADLINE FOR APPLYING: 2 MAY 2019
The purpose of the present invitation is to allow the recruitment, through an international selection process, of an Italian researcher to permit him/her to return to Italy to carry out, as Group Leader, a five-year research project to expand scientific expertise in the sector relating to “microfluidic intensification of pharmaceutical processes”. The project will be carried out through the collaboration and partnership between Fondazione Bracco, Bracco Imaging S.p.A., the Milan Politecnico and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, and made possible by the financial contributions of Fondazione Bracco and of Bracco Imaging S.p.A.
The contractor may perform his/her activities at the laboratories available to Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (including those made available for this purpose by the Milan Politecnico) by virtue of the contractual arrangements in force with these entities.
The present invitation is addressed exclusively to “young” scholars, of Italian nationality, with experience in the sector of “flow chemistry”, of “microfluidics applied to the chemistry of pharmaceutical specialties” and in general of the “transformation of the synthesis processes of the chemistry of specialties of pharmaceutical interest from discontinuous to continuous mode”, who have been carrying out teaching or post doctoral research activities abroad for at least three years.
Therefore, only those who meet all the following requirements may file an application to participate, under penalty of exclusion:
The candidacies, signed digitally or attached in PDF copy with holographic signature of the applicant, shall be transmitted, accompanied by a copy of a currently valid identification document of the candidate no later than 2 May 2019 exclusively via email to the certified email address firstname.lastname@example.org (also enabled to receive non-certified emails); to the candidacy application shall be attached, under penalty of inadmissibility of the candidacy, the required documents, as specified below.

When evaluating the candidacy, particular attention shall be paid to the scientific validity and methodology of the project presented and to the importance of the expected results.
Fondazione Bracco and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano reserve:
It is hereby specified that the selection documents are confidential internal documents and may not be disclosed. All candidates shall be notified via email of the outcome of their participation in the tender no later than 3 weeks after the date of 2 May 2019.
If the Group Leader is identified as a result of the favourable outcome of the evaluation of the candidacies and subject to the execution of the related appointment, there is reason to believe that the activities can indicatively take place before the end of 2019.
Presentation of a candidacy entails full acceptance of the contents of the present invitation.
*Can Researchers that have pursued a PhD degree abroad apply for “Premio Felder” (Felder Award)?
Yes, they do. Researchers, who have pursued an international PhD degree or a degree equivalent to an Italian PhD, can apply to Premio E. Felder.
Premio Felder is directed at recruiting young Italian researchers currently working abroad in research or teaching activities.
At the time of submitting the application, the candidate shall have been employed at least for three-year teaching or research activities programs in qualified universities or research centers outside the Italian borders and having obtained the PhD degree or equivalent, regardless of the place of achievement.
**Can Researchers that have pursued a PhD degree abroad, outside the time frame defined in paragraph ‘Requirements’ 1, still submit an application?
Yes, they do. If a researcher has pursued a PhD degree abroad outside the time frame: 31st October 2008 – 31st October 2014 can apply to the international selection process within Premio Felder.
The time frame definition does not apply for PhD degrees pursued abroad since a unique and standard temporal criterion cannot be established for all foreign universities that generally adopt different regulations depending on State legislations.
The requirement of paragraph ‘Requirements’ 1 apply only for Italian PhD programs.
In any case, Fondazione Bracco and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano reserve all the unchallengeable rights to evaluate the eligibility and to evaluate the candidacies as a whole.
