Job Title: Post-Doctoral Fellow in Plant Physiology

Area of specialization: Crops improvement, Plant Physiology, Rhizobia

Job/Project description:

The AgroBioSciences Program (AgBS) at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Plant Physiology. The candidate will be responsible to ensure the progress of agronomic trials of several leguminous species and evaluated the agro-physiological trails of these plants in the fields and green house.

Main responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Assess the low weight molecules and secondary metabolites synthetized from rhizosphere microbiomes soils using recent technologies (LC-MS, GC-MS)
  • Plan and conduct greenhouse experiments using different microbes and Phosphorus fertilizers to enhance crop yield under different abiotic stresses. 
  • Unravel the molecular mechanisms of plant microbe interactions using genomic and transcriptomic approaches at the rhizosphere level.
  • Co-supervise master and PhD students.
  • Publish results in high impact factor journals.

Education, qualifications, and experience

  • Ph.D. in plants physiology, molecular biology, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High motivation and interest in scientific work.
  • Good knowledge of desktop software applications is expected. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful candidates must have English communication skills.
