The Liberale group is a multidisciplinary team of physicists, engineers, and biologists committed to developing and applying label-free microscopy methods for biomedical research. The laboratory is equipped with cutting edge instruments and technology in the field of vibrational micro-spectroscopy. Additionally, KAUST offers an exceptional infrastructure for scientific research and is equipped with state-of-the-art core facilities for imaging, characterization, and micro-\nano-fabrication.
We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated PhD student to work on the development of an innovative high-speed and broadband Stimulated Raman Scattering microscope. The successful applicant will work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary project involving radiation-matter interaction, nonlinear optics, ultrashort laser pulses, detectors, electronic instrumentation, and bioimaging applications.
A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics/Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field is required.
