What you will do

Join our dynamic team at imec as a Process Integration Engineer where you will be at forefront of semiconductor innovation. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement novel process flows for 200mm and 300mm wafers. The imager component integration team is working on various bilateral, funded, and exploratory projects in the field of hyperspectral imaging, quantum dot based thin film infrared detectors, wafer reconstitution and 2D materials for imager applications.  

In this job, your primary responsibilities will be to: 

  • Develop and optimize process flows for semiconductor device fabrication. 
  • Be the primary contact for the imec Pilot-line related to the processes you are responsible for 
  • Coordinate execution of the defined process flow and ensure continuity in processing 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new processes and process modules 
  • Analyse data and identify areas for process improvement and implement the necessary changes 
  • Provide technical expertise and support to fabrication and design teams 
  • Document processes and findings in technical reports and present them to internal stakeholders and customers

Who you are

  • You have a PhD (or master’s degree/equivalent by experience) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.  
  • You have experience in semiconductor process integration, preferably in a research and development environment. 
  • You have proven problem-solving skills and have a pro-active attitude. 
  • You can critically evaluate data and are data driven in your decision making. 
  • You show a hands-on approach with excellent engineering skills and a personal drive to achieve project goals 
  • You can take initiative and work on your own, while being part of a team. 
  • You have good organizational skills and show flexibility to change between different projects and tasks according to changing priorities. 
  • You show excellent communication and reporting skills.
