Role

We are seeking a Professor of Fashion History for our newly established Manchester Fashion Institute. In this stimulating role, you will provide specialist leadership to researchers within the Institute, developing an ambitious agenda for world-class interdisciplinary historical research.

Ideal Candidate

First and foremost, you will develop, lead and publish world-class research, fulfilling our ambition to create a renowned research centre for fashion over the next few years. As part of a team of professors, you will provide strong vision and leadership, whilst driving public engagement with research, leading collaborative research projects, developing and maintaining research grants, facilitating research by academic colleagues, and directly teaching and supporting students.

To join us, you will require a PhD or significant experience in research driven professional practice within the field of Fashion History. Equally importantly, you will be working within established research groups and will be able to write and exhibit with authority, both nationally and internationally.
